Betfair Moves to Ongame
08/05/2010Betfair Poker has officially moved to the Ongame Network after being a standalone room for 5 years. On the new site, players will find over 5x more players than before, over $13 million in guaranteed tournaments, new software with "enhanced" graphics, a new VIP loyalty scheme and four additional games not previously available at Betfair Poker. In addition, Betfair Poker players on a Mac will now be able to download a special Mac poker client, which will feature all the options available on the PC version.
Existing players on Betfair will still receive all the benefits that they did before. To welcome existing players to the new client, they are offering the Cash Bonus Rain promotion starting July 27th, which will give players the chance to earn up to $1,000 in extra bonuses in the first 30 days of the new site.
Simply activate your bonus cash by entering in FREECASH in the new bonus section of the Players' Club area. You will then earn $5 for every 120 Player Points accumulated in the first 30 days. This is the equivalent of 21% in additional Valueback at tournaments and Sit N Gos and an average of 14% at real money games. The precise Valueback % at real money games will be dependent upon skill level versus your opponents -- poorer players will receive more; superior players will receive less.
New players joining Betfair Poker after July 27th can choose one of six sign-up bonuses up to $2500. Most of the bonuses clear at a rate of 8 or 9 Player Points per $1 of bonus money, a valueback equivalent of 56%-63% at tournaments or 36%-41% at real money cash games. The $2,500 bonus will clear at a rate of 14 Player Points per $1 of bonus. Once again, an adjustment at real money games will be based on skill level.
Like most Ongame sites, Betfair Poker will also offer a VIP program that will award players additional Valueback based on VIP status level. Players at the highest VIP status levels can earn Valueback up to 40%. If you are an existing player with rakeback, you will not be able to participate in the VIP Program.
